Katie Silcox is a travel writer and editor based in Greece. After spending the summer of 2018 on a Greek island (Lesbos) the country’s allure took hold, and she remains in the Greek capital, Athens, six years later. Having grown up in the UK, and after studying English Language and Linguistics at the University of Sussex, Katie has held travel editor positions at Lonely Planet and BSkyB as well as managing editor at Citizen Femme. She has freelanced for titles including Condé Nast Traveller, Centurion Magazine, Time Out, plus varied in-house hotel magazines. She’s lived and worked across the world, holding positions at Condé Nast – Traveller, GQ, AD – in India and the UAE. Today she spends her winters discovering the best restaurants, bars and spas in Athens, and her summers hopping around the Greek islands – the Aegean, Cycladic, Saronic, Ionian and beyond.
